👤 About Me
My name is Hangli Ge (葛杭丽 | 葛杭麗). I am currently a Project Lecturer at the University of Tokyo. My research topics include ubiquitous computing, IoT, signal processing, spatio-temporal big data, knowledge graph, especially in the fields of smart city, traffic optimization, urban resillience, etc. I also have R&D experience in the telecommunication industry.
🎓 Doctor of Information studies, Interdisciplinary Information studies The University of Tokyo in 2019
Graduate Program for Social ICT Global Creative Leaders, The University of Tokyo Program for Leading Graduate Schools
📍 Current Affiliation: Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, The University of Tokyo
📚 Research Topics
I am specializing in the following research areas:
✨Topic 1: Physics-informed (PI)-AI for Traffic/Mobility/Congestion Prediction
Traditional AI models for traffic prediction rely on purely data-driven approaches, which often struggle with accuracy or interpretability, especially in unseen traffic dynamics. Incorporating physics-informed (PI) AI integrates fundamental traffic or human mobility flow theories into deep learning models, ensures that predictions remain physically consistent, leading to more reliable and interpretable traffic forecasts.
✨Topic 2: Digital Twin (DT) for Urban Resillience
DTs support the optimizations of resources allocation, operations, and support data-driven decision-making. By integrating data both from cyber and physical space with efficient AI technologies, we can develop next-generation mobility platform that are resilient, adaptive, for such as reducing traffic congestion, minimizing energy consumption and maxmizing economic efficiency and so on.
